My name is Toni Bennett. I am an avid animal lover and have kept pets of all shapes and sizes throughout my life. I've had gerbils, hamsters, rabbits, tropical fish, Lorikeets, cats and dogs. I used to work in a pet shop and I have a great deal of experience of working with animals.
I am currently adopted by 2 beautiful grey cats called Tin Tin & Mocha. In June 2016, my husband & I adopted a Homeless Hound called Loki.
Due to work commitments 3 days a week, we employed the services of a dog walking company. The service we received was appalling. I felt so guilty (and angry) that my dog had not received adequate care that I decided to quit my part-time job and start up a transparent, loving, caring, pet service company that went above and beyond the expectations of the pet owner in every way.
Technology is a powerful thing that can be used to the advantage of one and all. I now can't trust others to service my dog's needs which is sad.
I would trust a company that:
- could video record every visit in its entirety
- tracked the route, length and time of a dog's walk
- put my pet's needs first and foremost at all times
- completed all requested tasks each and every visit
- provided me with copies of the recorded data
There wasn't such a company locally. In fact, nothing came near. So, I decided to form Fylde Pet Care. I also made a conscious decision not to walk groups of dogs. Only dogs that live together, walk together. I created an affordable, reliable and trustworthy pet services company that uses technology to reassure pet owners that their pets are in safe hands when they can't attend to them personally. Seeing is believing, so I wanted them to be able to see:
- where their pets had been and for how long
- what antics they had got up to
- the standard of care and attention provided
- that all agreed duties were carried out
In short, both the pet owner's peace of mind and their precious pets would be my priority.
My ideas have formed a business that can be held accountable for all its actions. Expectations of staff are high. Expectations of pet owners are high. And, I personally set the bar high. I don't want to meet customer expectations. I want to exceed them. Fylde Pet Care Services is now operational and I intend to do my very best to make it a success.
